Its quite amazing google latitude alows you to track down the location of your mobile or your friends.
It works kind of like a GPS but it dosent require a GPS. It will send a msg with a link to download and install an application on the mobile phone.

Google Latitude is a feature of Google Maps for mobile on these phones:

* Android-powered devices, such as the T-Mobile G1
* iPhone and iPod touch devices (coming soon)
* most color BlackBerry devices
* most Windows Mobile 5.0+ devices
* most Symbian S60 devices (Nokia smartphones)
* many Java-enabled (J2ME) mobile phones, such as Sony Ericsson devices (coming soon)
Go ahead and try it out:

    Fantastic site, I really like your writing style. Very distinctive and easy to follow. On a lot of blogs people just drone on and on, but not you – very nice. Keep up the great work! I love reading sites about GPS systems and geocaching. It’s such an enjoyable recreation. Don’t have time to read everything here, I found your site while looking for something else on about.com. But I’ve bookmarked your homepage and will visit it regularly to read what’s new. I have learned a lot in staring a small blog about it myself. Seems like there is something new to learn all the time. Click here if you’d like to check out my site. Thanks again for a very educational site!
