Brasil centron event

I had the chance to go to a Centreon meeting organized by Komputer in Sao Paulo on Friday 5th of April 2014.
It was great to met the creator of Centreon Romain Le Merlus and listen and learn to current centreon news.
I hope they can estabilish some users in Brasil and visit more often.

Centreon Enterprise Server

CES Centreon Enterprise Server

I tired the Standard 2.0 64bits (October 31st 2012)

Today I tested the CES server I was kind of disappointed to find out that
it does not have all Centreon cool tools pre-installed, I guess its also a funny
name “Enterprise Standard”, hum…
There is no “Enterprise Complete” .iso available on the website, maybe that one
would be the real thing. I was disappointed to see it does not even have
the latest Centreon (2.3.9)pre-installed. or latest CentOS 6.x .
It’s nice that it has a .iso where you can boot from, but the idea is not new

check log script

Nagios bash check_log

Its often needed to check log files for a keyword.
So I wrote a simple bash script to do that plus integrate with nagios and perfdata so it also generate
The script is based on tail -f and grep on the logfile with nohup command, like:
nohup tail -f $LOG_FILE |grep –line-buffered “$VAR” > “$TMP” &

I recommend calling the check each 5 minutes.
